Secondary Teacher Schoology and PowerSchool Connection Checklist

This list will have all the parts necessary to get your Schoology and PowerSchool connected.

• (Optional) If teaching multiple of the same class, link classes in Schoology. This allows you to only need to upload an assignment once, and you can adjust class by class as well!

1. Set up categories in Schoology, including any weighting for all of your classes. Do not select "Calculated by:" percent This sets all assignments regardless of point value to being out of 100%.
2. Set up weighting in PowerSchool pay attention to the alerts and where to skip some steps
3. Connect Schoology categories to PowerSchool categories. This must be done for each class, even if they are linked. New feature: While here you can now add a sync schedule to make it sync nightly or weekly. Video demonstration
4. Sync regularly, we recommend using the nightly sync feature. You must sync each class grade book, even if linked. You can now schedule a nightly or weekly sync in the Schoology PowerSchool app located in each course.
