Troubleshooting Parent/Guardian Data Access Accounts

If a parent/guardian is having issues logging into PowerSchool and filling out pre-registration and enrollment information, here is a quick list of issues to check.

  1. Has their student been moved to pre-enrolled status?  If a student is only pre-registered the parent will not be able to login until at least one of their students is moved to pre-enrolled or enrolled (KB article).
  2. Does the parent/guardian remember their username and password?  You can reset the password to accounts and send them their temporary access by reviewing this KB Article.
  3. Does the parent/guardian have an active Data Access account that is linked to the student.  Sometimes the best thing to do for a parent/guardian that is struggling is to create their account for them and send them the information.  This KB Article goes through the steps of creating an account at attaching it to a student.
