How to Data Clean a Chromebook.

Welcome to the Chromebook Data Cleaning Guide (ChromeOS v110*)

This link is a quick video of "how to" and below are the written instructions.

Written directions:

• Open the Chromebook and turn it on.

• Press and hold the Escape and Refresh buttons, tap the Power button.

• You should see a screen with text about "ChromeOS not found."

• Press Ctrl + d

• On the next screen press Enter key.

• Chromebook should reboot (may take upwards of 30 seconds).

• After Chromebook reboots you'll be greeted with the "Welcome Page" click "Get Started"

• Choose the "SD84-Guest" network (Chromebook will swap to SD84-SD on its own later)

• Device should complete Enterprise Enrollment on its own. If Enrollment fails see indented instructions.

  • Click on manually enroll

  • Login with your email credentials - device should now enroll

• After all that you're good to go!

  * This guide was made during v110 of ChromeOS as such certain graphics as seen in the video may be different but the actual process has only changed by one button press in the last 50 versions of ChromeOS so it should remain relevant for some time.
