Annually Updating PS Accommodation Start Dates For TIDE Export
Purpose: In order to simplify the process of exporting TIDE Settings & Accommodations from PowerSchool, the accommodation start date (accomstartdt) needs to be changed to the first day of the current school year. Otherwise it will not be included in the export file.
Follow these steps prior to exporting the Setting & Accommodations:
Step 1: In the current year, select all active student on the Start Page, then navigate to the Data Export Manager (Data & Reports > Exports > Data Export Manager)
Step 2: On the Export Tab, in the Category dropdown menu, select Database Extensions:
Step 3: From the Export From dropdown menu, select S_ID_STU_SETTINGS_C:
Step 3: Select all the fields on this table by checking the box next to STUDENTS.S_ID_STU_SETTINGS_C In the left column. Then select Next.
Step 4: Check the box for Student to include. Then add two column filters. Filter by:
- accomstartdt < Specific Date and firstdayofschool (ex. 09/02/2025)
- accomenddt = Specific Date and nodate (i.e. leave date field blank)
Then select, Show Records:
Step 5: Click on the Edit All FIltered Records button:
Step 6: Select the radio button next to accomstartdt, enter the date for the first day of school, and click Submit.
Once the start date has been updated to the current year, you can run the Setting & Accommodations export from the Compliance Report screen to capture all active student accommodations.
