What is Spear Phishing?
Spear Phishing is a tool used by cyber-attackers to penetrate an organizations network to facilitate a targeted attack through malicious emails correspondence. It is the most commonly used and successful method – 91% of successful targeted attacks are made via spear phishing.
What is Whaling?
Same as Spear Phishing but aimed at high-profile targets within an organization. Examples of such targets are CEOs, CFOs, HR personal and even school principals are prime targets for whaling emails.
